Privacy Statement

Data Privacy Statement:

1. Collection and processing of your data

You can visit our Doehler Platform without providing information about yourself. We only save access data in what are known as server logfiles, including, for example, the name of the file re-quested, the date and time of the request, the data volume transferred and the Provider from which the request comes. This data is analysed exclusively to secure error-free operation of the site and to improve our service. It does not allow us to derive any information about who you are.

If you contact us via the Email addresses provided on our website we collect and process personal data of you.

2. Data security

For the purposes of the order process, your personal data is transmitted in encrypted form over the internet via an SSL process (Secure Socket Layer). We secure our Doehler Platform and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution by unauthorized persons by means of technical and organizational measures. Your customer account can only be accessed by entering your personal password. You should always keep your access information confidential and close the browser window once you have finished communicating with us, especially if you share the computer with others.

3. Use of cookies

In order to make visiting our Doehler Platform attractive and efficient and enable the use of specific functions, we use what are known as cookies on various pages. These are small text files which are stored on your computer or end device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. when you close your browser (known as session cookies). Other cookies are stored on your computer or end device and allow us to recognize your browser next time you visit (persistent cookies). You can configure your browser such that you are informed about the saving of cookies and can decide on an individual basis whether to accept cookies in individual cases or not. Not accepting cookies can limit the functionality of our Doehler Platform.

3.1 Google Analytics

The Doehler Platform uses functions of the Google Analytics web analysis service. This is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses what are known as “cookies”. These are text files which are stored on your computer to enable an analysis of website use by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved.

More information on the handling of user data by Google Analytics can be found in the Google guidelines on safeguarding your data: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en
Objecting to data recording – Browser plugin

You can prevent cookies being saved by changing a setting in your browser software, but please be aware that this may mean you are not able to use all the website functions to their full extent. You can also prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie re-lating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin from the link below. https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Further information on the use of data for advertising purposes by Google and configuration and opt-out options can be found on Google’s website: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/ (“How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps”), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“How Google uses cookies in advertising”), http://www.google.com/settings/ads (“Control the in-formation Google uses to show you ads”) and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ (“Determine which ads Google shows you”).

You can prevent data acquisition by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is installed, which prevents your data from being collected when you visit this website in future: Disable Google Analytics

3.2 Webtracking by media agency Campus Media

In addition, the website uses a web analysis service from Campus Media GmbH to evaluate the number of user accesses to this website by counting the click rates (number of accesses on the website).

Cookies (see item 4 for details) are stored on your computer for these evaluations. The information collected this way is subsequently stored by the service provider on its server in Germany. We would like to point out that you may not be able to use this website to its full extent if you prevent cookies from being stored. You can prevent the storage of cookies via the settings for your browser or your firewall.

Your IP addresses are processed in an abbreviated form so that a direct reference to a specific person is not possible. There is also no consolidation with other data.

3.3 Use of various social media plugins

3.3.1 LinkedIn

The Doehler Ventures Platform uses social plugins (“plugins”) from the social network linkedin.com operated by Linked Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (“LinkedIn”). The LinkedIn plugins can be identified by one of the LinkedIn logos (a white “in” on a blue square) or are marked as “LinkedIn Social Plugin”. The list and the appearance of the LinkedIn Social Plugin can be viewed here: https://developer.linkedin.com/plugins

If a website user accesses a service containing a plugin of this type, their browser establishes a direct connection with LinkedIn´s servers. The content of the plugin is transferred directly to your browser from LinkedIn and incorporated into the page by them. This means that the provider has no influence on the scope of the data gathered by LinkedIn by virtue of this plugin and therefore provides information to the user based on its level of knowledge:

The embedding of the plugin means LinkedIn receives the information that a user has accessed the relevant page on the website. If the user is logged into LinkedIn, LinkedIn can assign the visit to their LinkedIn account. If users interact with the plugin, for example by pressing the like button or submitting a comment, the relevant information is transferred by your browser directly to LinkedIn and saved. If the user is not a LinkedIn member, LinkedIn can still find out and store their IP address.

The purpose and extent of data collection and further processing of the data by Facebook, plus your rights and settings options to protect your privacy can be found in LinkedIn´s privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy?trk=uno-reg-guest-home-privacy-policy

If a user is a LinkedIn member and does not wish LinkedIn to collect data about them via this service and link it to their membership data stored on LinkedIn, they must log out of LinkedIn before accessing the web page.

3.4.3.1 LinkedIn Analytics and LinkedIn Ads

We use conversion tracking technology and the retargeting function from LinkedIn Corporation on our website.

These technologies allow visitors to this website to be shown personalised advertisements on LinkedIn. Moreover, this enables anonymous reports to be created on the performance of the advertisements, as well as information on how users interact with the website. Therefore, the LinkedIn Insight Tag is integrated in this website; this establishes a connection to the LinkedIn server if you visit this website while logged in to your LinkedIn account.

LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy (https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy) provides additional information on how data is collected and used, as well as your options and rights for protecting your privacy. When you are logged in to LinkedIn, you can deactivate data collection at any time via the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/enhanced-advertising.

3.3.2 Other social media plugins

Where we use other social media plugins, you can find more detailed information on data protection in the relevant privacy policies of these Providers. If you cannot find them, please contact us in confidence on datenschutz@doehler.com.

3.4 Google Maps

Our website uses the component "Google Maps" by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.

Google sets a cookie in order to process the user configuration and data each time the page with the integrated "Google Maps" component is displayed. As a general rule, this cookie is not deleted by closing the browser, but rather expires after a certain time, as long as it is not previously manually deleted by you. If you do not agree with this processing of your data, you may choose to deactivate the "Google Maps" service and thereby prevent the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use "Google Maps" or at least only to a limited extent. The use of "Google Maps" and the information obtained through "Google Maps" is according to Google’s Terms of Use: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html as well as the additional Terms and Conditions for "Google Maps": https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html

4. Right of information; notification, blocking or deletion; making contact

In accordance to the applicable statutory data protection regulations, you have the right to obtain information stored about you for free.

You are entitled to have any incorrect data about you corrected. To do this, please contact us and let us know the correct personal data. The correction is made immediately, subject to an integrity check.

You also have the right to request the deletion of personal data held about you. For example, if the data was saved without authorisation or knowledge of your personal data is no longer required in order to fulfil the purpose for which it was saved or to fulfil the role for which the relevant (public) body is responsible.

Instead of deletion, you have the right to blocking of your personal data if deletion would contravene mandatory storage periods, there is reason to assume that the deletion would affect protected interests of the affected parties, deletion is not possible or would be unreasonably difficult or it is not possible to determine whether the data is correct or incorrect.

If there are any additional questions on the collection, processing or use of your personal information, if you wish to obtain information on or to correct, block or delete your data, if you wish to revoke previously issued consents or if you wish us to send you a list of automated data processing procedures, please contact datenschutz@doehler.com.
